It’s every Midwesterner’s favorite time of year — summer.
Something about warm days and cool evenings makes people suddenly come alive again. And that’s not just true #OnlyInMarshall.
(P.S. Shoutout to the Visit Marshall, MN team for the awesome hashtag!)

This dynamic duo of businesses is sure to offer fun for everyone who visits.
AJ’s Family Arcade includes arcade games, mini golf, go karts, and outdoor seating. A plethora of fun for any age!
Connected to the arcade is The Gym Sports Bar & Grill where visitors can grab a burger and a drink with the game on one of their many tvs.
Love freshly smoked meat? You’ll love The Gym’s assortment, something that’s become a “claim to fame,” of sorts.
As one reviewer says, “Don’t let the name detour you, this place is AWESOME!”
Visit AJ’s Family Arcades Facebook page and/or The Gym’s Facebook page for updates and upcoming events.
One of the best features of this small town is the beautiful 9/11 tribute that sits in the revitalized downtown at Memorial Park.
The Marshall Fire Department acquired a beam from the rubble of the World Trade Center in New York City and has displayed it to honor the fallen and celebrate the adversity our nation overcame.
Surrounded by the beam are flowers and plants that create a beautiful and serene environment.
The pavers around the memorial represent those who lost their lives. Blue stars- policemen, red stars- firemen and black stars- other.
Memorial Park is a 5-minute drive from the EverSpring Inn and will be worth the quick drive over to stay and spend some time downtown.
Visit the City of Marshall’s Facebook page for more information.
Nothing screams summer quite like flying down a waterslide into a giant pool, then running across hot cement only to do it again!
The Marshall Aquatic Center offers an outlet to beat the heat!
There are three pools to choose from: a diving pool, the main pool, or the shallow pool with a mushroom fountain and bubbler. The pools are handicapped accessible, shaded patios, and a playground area for children.
Admission is $5 and children ages 2 or younger are free.
Check out their Facebook page or website for more information.
