It’s every Midwesterner’s favorite time of year — summer.
Something about warm days and cool evenings makes people suddenly come alive again.

- The Dakota Zoo
Lions and tigers and bears, OH MY!
On the banks of the Missouri River, The Dakota Zoo is a great way to spend a visit to Bismarck. Starting in April, the zoo opens at 10am and closes at 6pm daily.
Stretching across 90-acres and housing 600 animals including birds, reptiles, and fish there is much to see and encounter. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to take part in the ‘animal close-ups’ where a zoo keeper will answer questions and teach about certain animals.
Only a mile away from our EverSpring – Bismarck location, it’s even walkable.
Visiting the animals isn’t the only thing to do at the Dakota Zoo. Spend time checking out the rose garden, children’s playground, or food court!
For ticket prices and more information visit the Dakota Zoo website.
Bismarck famously sits on the ‘mighty’ Missouri river and there is no better way to explore it than by boat!
The Lewis and Clark Riverboat is a fun way to enjoy being on the water and taking in the beauty of North Dakota.
The cruise lasts an hour and a half — usually in the evening hours — on weekdays with some earlier times on the weekends. You have different options like the ‘Happy Hour Cruise’ or the ‘Sunset Cruise’.
Make your time in Bismarck memorable! For more information to book tickets to a cruise, please visit the Lewis and Clark Riverboat website.
Make a splash this summer at the Raging Rivers Waterpark located west of our EverSpring (technically Mandan), just west of the Missouri River.
Equipped with giant slides, a lazy river, and your favorite summer concessions (think hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, the works), it’s one of Bismarck’s best ways to spend a summer day.
Tickets and pricing are available on their website as well as other information like hours, current weather, and a map of the park.
Whether you have children or you’re a big kid at heart, this is a fun stop for visitors to spend the whole day in the sun.
